Fascination for the Beauty of Indonesia via Photographer Suhari Minggu Ningsih

Photographer Suhari Minggu Ningsih is based in Banjarmasin, Indonesia, and most of her portfolio indicates a fascination with her native area. Its fishermen and women, their lives spent mostly on the water, the boundless skies reflecting into the water, and the herds of water buffalos are all fixtures in her work. And it is that very same work that displays generosity and a love for nature, as well as for people. In order to bring that love before our eyes, Suhari photographs using two camera, a Nikon D90 and a Nikon D5000, and owns three lenses: AF-S DX VR 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6G ED, AF-S DX VR 16-85mm f/3.5-5.6G ED and AF 80-200MM F/2.8D ED. Her motto is “Do not give up to the limitations, turn your limitations into a strength.” She also appreciates the simple, honest things in life, such as “humility, love to share, to give a sincere compliment, and appreciate other people’s work.” According to her, these all “should be the nature of a good photographer.”
